Vernon C. Kolsrud, age 66, Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Manchester, Iowa died July 4, 1988. Private services were held at the Good Neighbor Home Chapel in Manchester, Iowa. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Manchester, Iowa. He was born in Cascade, Iowa on September 5, 1921 to Clarence and Mayme ________ Kolsrud. He has lived in Council Bluffs for the past year. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He has a number of relatives in the Allamakee County, Iowa area. Survivors include two sons, Victor Kolsrud of Laramie, Wyoming, and Bill Kolsrud of Waterloo, Iowa; a daughter, Karen Hile of Laramie, Wyoming; a brother, Earl Kolsrud of Shellsburg, Iowa; a sister Mrs. Victor (Melva) McCarthy of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and his mother, Mayme Mullan of the Good Neighbor Home.
