Marie A. Koenig, 52, of Mundelein, Illinois died Wednesday, May 31, 1989 in Condell Hospital in Libertyville, Illinois. Funeral services were held June 3 at 11 a.m. at St.Ann's-St.Joseph Church in Harpers Ferry,, Iowa. Father Duane Raftis conducted the services and burial was in the St.Joseph's cemetery. Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 28, 1936 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa to Joseph and Viola (Crowley) Saddler. On October 4, 1958 she married Donald Koenig of Superior, Wisconsin in St.Ann's Church, Harpers Ferry, Iowa.

Surviving are her husband, a son Edward; two daughters, Beverly and Denise Koenig, all of Mundelein; her mother, Viola Traversey, two sisters, Mrs. Mark (Margie) Delaney and Mrs. Robert (Joan) Lloyd, and two brothers, Richard and Frank Saddler, all of Harpers Ferry and several nieces and nephews.
