Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 22 for Paul G. Fahey, 63, of Waukon, Iowa. He died Sunday November 19, 1989 in Iowa City. The 11 a.m. services were conducted by Father Ed Lechtenberg at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was born October 16, 1926 in Allamakee County to Joseph and Mary (Howes) Fahey and attended school through the 12th grade. He served as a Green Beret in the Army from 1954 to 1956. On May 25, 1963 he married Jean Ann Stahl at St. Patrick's Church in Waukon. He was a yardman at the sale barn and a member of the St.Patrick's.

Surviving are five children: Perry, Darrell, Eileen, Maureen, and Nancy; two brothers, Kenneth and Keith; and a sister, Evelyn.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister Catherine. Casket bearers were Frank Magner, Lenny Burke, Tony Urell, Billy Bresnahan, Emmett Larkin, and Vic Byrnes. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Curtin, Joe Tysland, Morrie Mathis, Lenny Mellick, Rich Freuchte, and Don Kruse.
