DRESSER, Iva M. --- died May 9, 1961

Iva M. Dresser was born in Post township, the fourth child of John E. and Eunice Eaton Dresser and passed away suddenly on May 9, 1961, following an illness of several weeks.

She was a graduate of the Postville high school, of Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls, and attended Columbia University in New York City. She was a school teacher by profession, the greater share of the time being employed in the elementary schools of Seattle, Washington. In 1953 she retired from teaching and returned to Postville to live. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Burl and Lawrence. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Robert Hecker of Postville and Mrs. Howard Conrow of Waterloo, three nieces and two nephews, several cousins and many friends.

Since returning to Postville she had been a member of the Postville Monday Club.

Funeral services were held at the Community Presbyterian Church, Friday, May 12, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Walter T. Martin in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
