Anton DeBuhr's Funeral Thursday

Funeral services for Anton Peter DeBuhr, 79, were set for 1:30 Thursday, Sept. 18 at Salem United Church of Christ with the Rev. Jean-Paul Zenke officiating and burial in the church cemetery with military rites, and Martin's in charge.

A long-time local resident, he had retired from the DeBuhr Plumbing and Heating business. He died in LaCrosse Tuesday morning.

He was born Sept. 18, 1895, in New Holstein, WI, son of Tonges and Jennie Bosma DeBuhr, educated in the rural schools of Wisconsin, and married in Allamakee county Sept. 18, 1919, to Ada Snitker, who remains.

His children are Victor DeBuhr and Mrs. Boyd (Audrey) Groezinger. There are five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Two brothers and two sisters also remain. They are Dick DeBuhr of West Bend, WI, Alfred DeBuhr of Lancaster, WI, Mrs. Anna Jaschob of Sheboygan, WI, and Mrs. Dela Huettmann of Port Washington, WI.

He had served in World War I, was a member of the American Legion and of Salem United Church of Christ.
