Funeral services for Mrs. Erwin Dickman of Postville were held Friday, Oct. 12, 1990 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of the arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Bertha Marie Dickman, daughter of William F. and Emma (Oldag) Willman, was born Sept. 13, 1899 on a farm near Postville, Iowa. She died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 1990 in Palmer Lutheran Health Center at West Union, Iowa.

She was baptized on May 20, 1900 and confirmed on March 17, 1940 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville. She attended the rural schools near her parents farm.

On June 19, 1923 she was married to Erwin F. Dickman at Postville. They had 2 children. The couple farmed near Postville until retiring to their present home in 1950.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Paul Willman and a sister, Emma Meyer.

Surviving are her husband, Erwin, a son Myrl of Postville; a daughter, Donna Plaht of rural Luana; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a sister, Verla Schutte, a brother, Eldo.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville.

Casket bearers were Robert Plaht, Lonnie Hangartner, John Dean, Marlen Schutte, Havey Wirkler and Willard Bareis.
