Funeral services were held Friday, January 8, 1999 for Roger Leon Genz, 54, of Monona, Iowa who died of natural causes Monday, January 4, 1999 at Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. The 11 a.m. services were held at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home, Prairie du Chien, WI with burial in the Old Sixteen Cemetery, Allamakee County, Iowa.

He was born December 30, 1945 in Waukon, Iowa to Wayne and Eva (Sickles) Genz. Roger attended school in Davenport,Iowa and later attended the Davenport Barber College and East Iowa Community College in Davenport. He worked in an auto body repair shop in Davenport and in Allamakee County after moving here in 1982. On December 31, 1997 Roger married Diana Rohde.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son Randy of Monona; one daughter Melissa Smith of Calmar, Iowa; his father Wayne Genz of Monona, and four grandchildren.
