Gerald LaVelle “Jerry” Bulman, age 55, of Tuttle, Okla., passed away Friday, February 25, 2005, of cancer while awaiting a bone marrow transplant. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 1, at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Okla., with full military honors.
Gerald was born April 10, 1949, in Decorah, Iowa, to Donald Patrick and Loretta Margaret (McCormick) Bulman. Gerald married Evaun Ponder on February 20, 1971, in Denison, Texas.
He retired SMSGT E-8 US Air Force on February 28, 1989. He served his country proudly and was a veteran of Vietnam.
After retirement from the military, he became a military contractor and currently worked with Lear Siegler, Inc. He moved to Tuttle in 2000 from Houston, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Evaun; two sons, Jason Bulman of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Kevin Bulman of Tuttle; a daughter, Cassie (Raymond) Elwood of Tuttle; two grandchildren, Savannah and Joshua Elwood; his mother, Loretta Bulman of Waukon; two brothers, James (Eiko) Bulman of Green Valley, Ariz., and Anthony Bulman of Harpers Ferry; two sisters, Mary (Marv) Schlichte of Cedar Rapids, and Pat (Bill) Moody of Harpers Ferry; a sister-in-law, Dorie Bulman of Waukon; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Patrick Bulman and a daughter, Jennifer Bulman.
