Ella Mae Gramlich was born March 3, 1925 in Waukon to Anton and Olive (Dolphin) Pratt. She attended Waukon High School and Dec. 24, 1941 married Daniel Gramlich at the First Presbyterian Church parsonage in Waukon.
The lifetime Waukon resident was a member of the First Presbyterian and American Legion Auxiliary in Waukon.
Ella Mae died Tuesday, April 11, 1995 at Veteran's Memorial Hospital. She was 70 years of age.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Gerald and Mary of Waukon and Robert and Diane of Lansing; two daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Kenneth Lough of Waukon and Margaret and Dennis Krambeer of Decorah; a brother, Edward Pratt of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and son-in-law, Wayne Kirkeby of Decorah.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1990; a daughter, Linda Kirkeby in 1989, and a sister in infancy.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15 at First Presbyterian. The Rev. Larry Olson officiated. Burial was was in Oakland Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Casket bearers were Tony and Alex Krambeer, Rick and Jeff Gramlich, Tim and Bill Lough, Danny and David Kirkeby, and Bryan Gramlich.
