JOHNSON, JULIUS THEODORE

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 8, 1966 at 2 p.m.from St.John's Lutheran Church in Waukon, Iowa for Julius Theodore Johnson, 58, of Waukon. The Rev. David Vaaler officiated and burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery in Monona, Iowa. Pallbearers were Bob Fossum, Joseph Bakke, Roy Tatro, Lester Bakke, Frankie Havelick, and Howard Smith.

He was born February 7, 1908 east of Waukon to John and Gina (Drogset) Johnson. He was married September 12,1930 to Mildred Reva Swenson. She preceded him in death as did two brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren. September 4, 1966 (of this year) he married Dorothy Moe.

Survivors include his wife, four children, Mrs. Clarence (Bernita) Havelick, Waukon; Marlan Johnson, Hawthorne, California, Jack Johnson, Fort Bliss, Texas, Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Koehn; five grandchildren, Doris, Dixie, Dennis, and Darcy Havelick and Chad Koehn and two step-children, Darlene Moe, Waukon and Gilman Moe of Spring Valley, Minnesota. Four sisters, Mrs. Melvin Bakke, Mrs. George Gilbertson, Mrs. Julius Bakke, and Mrs. Alex Grangaard, also survive.
