Mrs. Spieler Unexpectedly Passes at Billings, Mont.

J. J. Spieler, a former well known resident of Lansing Ridge, sends us the following clipping from one of the local papers, relative to the recent sudden death of his wife:

“Death unexpectedly claimed Mrs. Anna Spieler, 50, wife of Jacob Spieler, at her home 445 Alderson avenue, at 11:30 o’clock on Monday night, Feb. 25.

“Her condition had not been regarded as dangerous. She had been suffering from arthritis and high blood pressure for a month.

“Mrs. Spieler was born Nov. 5, 1884, at Lansing, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gruber. She was married to Mr. Spieler at Lansing Sept. 25, 1907, and the family resided there until 1919 when they moved to Thief River Falls, Minn. They came to Billings in 1926.

“Mrs. Spieler was a member of the Royal Neighbors at Lansing, and of the German Presbyterian church. Besides her widower, she is survived by seven children, four sisters and five brothers. The children are Mrs. Daniel Anderson of Rice Lake, Wis., Mrs. Harold Forsman of Billings, and Elsie, Marie, Leslie, Thomas and Hazel Spieler, all of Billings.”

Mrs. W. P. Hamlin of Minneapolis, sister of the departed, nad her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Anderson, of Rice Lake, Wis., were among attendants at the funeral.
