Rocky E. Ford, 52, of La Crosse, Wis., formerly of Waukon, died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wis., following complications from a series of strokes, Funeral services were held Monday, March 10 at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Rev. Larry Olson officiating.

Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Martin Funeral Home assisted with arrangements. Rocky Edward Ford was born July 17, 1950, in Waukon, the son of Edward Alto and Helen A. (King) Ford. He grew up in Waukon and graduated from Waukon High School in 1969. In 1977, he finished a program in brick and block laying at NICC in Calmar. On July 1, 1995, he married Connie Lough at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Rocky owned and operated several businesses including a pizza restaurant, taxi service, and tour bus. He enjoyed the elderly
people who rode his bus very much. He loved kids and animals and liked to feed the squirrels outside his apartment. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, enjoyed music and dancing, especially to '50s and '60s music, and classic cars, especially 5-window 1932 models. Rocky enjoyed life and being around people. His favorite holiday was Halloween and he made an
effort to come up with a creative new costume every year. Survivors include his wife, Connie of La Crosse; two sisters, Virginia (Keith) Held of Bellingham, Wash., and Sandra (Richie)
Ludeking of Seaville, N.J.; and three brothers, Dennis (Shirley) Ford of Aiken, S.C., Darrell (Laina) Ford of Waukon, and Terry (Deborah) Ford of Cedar Rapids; two aunts, Alice Johnson and Arlene King of Waukon; and many nieces, nephews,
grand-nieces and nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, a brother, Randy, and a
sister, Debbie. Casketbearers were Clarke Ford, Terry Gibbons, Dalmer Strain, Ron Dahlstrom, Roger Bublitz, Wayne Stone, and Richard Bruening.
