Obituary Smith
Gideon Wilson Smith was born at Milhall, Pa, Oct 5, 1833, and died Oct 21, 1917, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. B.C. Worman, Redmound, Wis.
He was united in marriage to Freelove Baldwin at Lansing, IA., Dec. 28, 1865. To this union were born two children, a son, and a daughter.
He was a consistent Christian for over forty years, having united with the M.E. church at Lansing, IA.
He leaves to mourn his loss a beloved and faithful wife, his children, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Worman, and four grandchildren, Mrs. W.J. Bernek of Stoddard, Wis., Mrs. Lewis Axlen, Merle and Homer Worman, all of Redmound; a brother, Mr. Jackson Smith, Waukon, Ia, and a sister Mrs. Jane Hale of Lansing, Ia.
Services were conducted by Rev. L.F Hoover at the Central M.E. Church and interment was made in the Walnut Mound cemetery at Retreat, Wis.Allamakee Journal
