"From the Minneapolis Star daily of Saturday we learn of the death of Henry E. Scholtes, 86, who passed away Friday in that city where he has been a resident for many years. He was born and raised in Lansing and years ago was an employee of G. Kerndt and Bros. Besides his wife he is survived by one sister, Miss Susan Scholtes, who with a nephew John Scholtes drove up on Sunday and attended the funeral services Monday morning at ten o'clock from St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Burial was in St. May's Cemetery at Shakopee."
