Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church Monday afternoon for Mrs, Amelia Buege who passed away Saturday at Veteran's Memorial Hospital in Waukon where she had been a patient for a couple weeks. She was born in Allamakee County February 4, 1885, a daughter of Catherine Buntrock and Martin Buege*. - Following her education in the rural schools of the county she was married to Emil Buege. They made their home on farms in Allamakee coming to Lansing area over forty years ago and later moving to town. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Hilda and a sister. Closest survivors are Norman King of Mechanicsville who as a youth she reared in her home along with nieces and nephews. The several profuse floral bouquets bore mute evidence of the high esteem in which this good lady was held.
Rev. J. Paul Stevens officiated at the services and said the final prayers at the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery where interment was made. Soloist was George Aschom and organist, Mrs. Theodore Schott. Casket bearers were Thomas Kerndt, Cyril Murphy, Odean Sandry, Paul Johnson, William Manderscheid and Harold Englehorn.
