The death of Dennis F. Duggan, (familiarly known has Denny), occurred at the Good Samaritan Home, Waukon, on May 21. He had been in ill health for the past several years.
Dennis Francis Duggan was born in Allamakee County on December 13, 1877. His parents were Patrick and Mary Kerman Duggan and he was a lifelong resident of Allamakee county.
He was married on October 18, 1910 in Milwaukee, Wis. to Edith Jaeger, who survives with two children. Clare Duggan, Waukon and Majorie, Mrs. Wm. Gazley, Nashville, Tenn. There are eight grandchildren , two great grandchildren and a sister Nelle Duggan, Waukon.
Mr. Duggan was a long time employee of the Lee Bros. Department Store in the men's clothing. In 1925 he purchased the Model Cafe which he managed for 27 years, after which he spent about 15 years assisting his son in the S & D Cafe. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. A Requiem Mass was said on Wednesday morning, May 24, at St. Patrick's Church with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Martin Bros. Funeral Home was in charge.
