Gail U. Gantenbein died at Memorial Hospital in Riverton, Wyo. on March 24, 1977 after an extended illness.
He was born on December 10, 1904 to U. Carver and Rose Gantenbein and he spent most of his life in the New Albin vicinity.
The Mass of Resurrection was held at St. Margaret's Catholic Church on Monday morning, Mar. 28 at 10 o'clock. Father Ron Stalcis officiated. The Rosary was on Sunday evening, March 27 at 8 o'clock at Davis Funeral Home.
Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery at Riverton, Wyo.
He is survived by his wife Florence; one daughter, Mrs. Ed (Betty) Smerud of New Albin, and five sons, Gordon, Gail Jr., Gary and Gehrig (twins) and Joe. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are his 5 sons and a grandson, Steven Smerud, also of Riverton.
Gail was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ina Fischen. His brother, Cliff was unable to attend because of illness. Gail and Florence celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last July 24.
