Lois Reburn 1933-2003

Lois Reburn, age 70, of New Albin, died Wednesday, February 19, 2003, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 22, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Albin with Rev. Robert Levenhagen officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, New Albin. Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing assisted with arrangements. Lois was born in Houston County, Minn., February 17, 1933, to Martin and Ottille (Pottratz) Welper. She married John Reburn June 2, 1953, at St. Joseph's Church in New Albin. Lois worked at the Lansing Blumenthal Company twice in her life, the first time being before her marriage to John. Following her marriage, she worked as a waitress at The Crest Supper Club in Caledonia for 18 years, in addition to helping her husband farm. Most recently, she was in the Shipping Department at the Lansing Blumenthal Company for 19 years.
Lois was a member of St. Joseph's Church and its Rosary Society. She is survived by her husband, John of New Albin; four children, Debra (Mike) Chiantello of Delafield, Wis., Mike (Joan) Reburn of New Albin, Tim (Andy) Esser Sr. of La Crescent, Minn., and Tom (Lynn) Reburn of New Albin; and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Leander Welper, and two nephews, LaVerne and Merle Welper.
Casketbearers were Dan Reburn, Andy Esser Sr., Andy Esser Jr., Mike Chiantello, Tim Stone, and Don Endres.
