Martin Edwin Stock, 80, of Waukon, died Feb. 21, 1989 at his home.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 23, 1:30 p.m. at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, rural Postville. Rev. James Elvig officiated. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Martin Bros. Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Martin E. Stock, son of Fred Stock and Minnie Fogt Stock was born Feb. 5, 1900 in Ludlow Township, Allamakee County. He received his education in Ludlow area rural schools.

He married Amanda M. Nagel Jan. 29, 1931 at the home of her parents. He was a lifetime Ludlow farmer. They moved to Waukon around 1969. He was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church where he held various church offices -- Deacon and Treasurer.

He was preceded in death by a brother Arthur.

Surviving is his wife, Amanda; a daughter, Shirley (Edgar) Brainard of Waukon; 3 grandchildren, Lisa (Christian) Cook, Mark and Matthew Brainard, one sister, Viola (Roy) Warnhoff of Waukon and a brother Reuben Stock, Waukon.

Pallbearers were Roland, James and Don Nagel, Neil Klocke, Roger and Robert O. Stock
