Mrs. STANTON (Carole June Schultz) LINDQUIST 1933-1977

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, for Mrs. Stanton Lindquist who died in a hospital at Grand Rapids, Michigan, Tuesday, August 16. The Rev. Norris C. Swenson and the Rev. Charles Witt officiated. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

Born December 10, 1933 at Postville, Carole June was the daughter of Cloy F. and Viola Weihe Schultz. She was baptized December 27, 1933 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville by the Rev. Weihe and confirmed by Rev. Ludwig March 30, 1947. She served the congregation as organist, choir directress and church secretary for several years during the pastorate of the Rev. Charles Witt. Carole was a graduate of Postville High School and Luther College, Decorah. September 1, 1958 she was united in marriage to Stanton C. Lindquist.

The Lindquists lived in Decorah where her husband served on the faculty of Luther College and in recent years lived in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, where her husband continued his service as an educator and administrator.

Preceding her in death were her father, Cloy Schultz and a nephew, David Schultz.

Survivors include her husband, Stanton and her three children, Tami, Tara and Trystan, all of Jenison, Michigan; her mother, Viola Schultz, Postville; four brothers, Cloy, Jr., Grant and Byron of Postville; Jack of Cedar Falls and a sister Mrs. Noel (Rochelle) Cook of Postville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were her nephews, Corey and Collin Cook, Stewart, Craig, Blaine and Chris Schultz.
