J. Bernard O'Neill, age 78, of Lansing died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at his home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 10 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wexford, with Fr. Louis Trzil officiating. Burial was in West Ridge Catholic Cemetery, rural Waukon. Hanson Funeral Home assisted the family.
J. Bernard O'Neill was born December 12, 1931 in Waukon to Joseph and Mamie (Ryan) O'Neill. After graduating high school, he farmed and lived in the Wexford, Waterville and Lansing areas. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wexford.
Survivors include his brother, Emmet (Edna) O'Neill of Greenfield, WI; his sisters, Margaret (Bob) Corrigan of Cedar Rapids, Dorothy (Vince) Mullarkey of Winterset, and Leona (Cyril) Mooney of New Albin; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert O'Neill; and a sister, Mary Frances O'Neill.
