JAMES A. GREGG

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 7, 1 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home for James A. Gregg, who died Monday, March 5, at the Community Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Norman Ullestad was in charge of the rites. Interment was in the Postville Cemetery.

James A. Gregg, son of John L. Gregg and Bertha Miller Gregg, was born March 21, 1918, at Postville. He graduated from Postville High School in 1935 and attended Gates Business College in Waterloo. He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Gregg and Neva Beth Sweitzer were married at Hudson, Iowa, August 26, 1938. They are the parents of two daughters, Dianne (Mrs. Larry Crandall) of West Union and Peggy (Mrs. Richard Paulson) of Stewartville, Minnesota.

He was associated with his father and brother Keith in the operation of the John L. Gregg and Sons Lumbar Company for several years and then took over the full ownership until 1970, when the business was sold. At the time of his death he was employed by Hall Roberts' Son.

He was preceded in death by his father, John L. Gregg. Survivors in addition to his mother, wife and daughters, include his brother Keith of Storm Lake and three grandsons, Todd, Shawn and Shane Crandall.
