Pearl E. (Kuhse) Folsom, aged 74, died Jan. 27, 2002 at the Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse. She was born in rural Postville on March 24, 1927, daughter of Fredrick and Anna (Meier) Kuhse. She married Charles Folsom in 1947 and they resided in Postville, Monona, and Waukon.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Alice Magner, a son-in-law, James Riley, and grandchildren, Kevin and Dana Magner, and Amanda Plein; brothers Lawrence, Victor and Milo Kuhse; and sisters Hulda Block, Lillian Brown, Helen Peterson and Orma Benzing. Surviving her are her children, Lee (Letha), Lynn, Leo (Joann), and Clark (Tina) all of Waukon; Marie (Ralph) Plein of Lansing; and Sandra (Pat) Blake of Dorchester. Also by her sister Hilma (Harlan) Miller; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pearl was a member of the Old West Paint Creek Church, the ALCW, and the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Pearl was actively involved in her church and as a Tuppereware dealer. She was there for anyone who needed anything done such as painting, papering, cleaning, grocery shopping or just being a good friend and neighbor. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends and family.

Friends may attend her viewing at the Hanson Funeral Home on Tues., Jan. 29 from 3-8 p.m. Rev. Kenneth Kimball will perform services Wed., Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be Aaron, Mark and Charlie Folsom and Jamie Riley, Darren Magner, Tyler Plein, Patrick and Shawn Blake and Matt Miller.
