John Reppe

Lewistown, Montana - John Reppe, 93, Lewistown, died Friday at a Lewistown nursing home of natural causes. Funeral services are 3:30 p.m. Monday at Creel-Gurnett-Retz Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Sheridan Erickson officiating. Cremation is at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial in Great Falls.

Mr. Reppe was born Nov. 6, 1876, at Lansing, Iowa, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Reppe. He attended school in Iowa. He married Anna Lewison in May, 1906, in Lansing. They came to Montana in 1913, and farmed in the Winifred area. He also worked as a carpenter and stonemason. Mrs. Reppe died in 1959. He moved to Lewistown in 1964. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Mr. Reppe is survived by a son, Clifford, Kalamazoo, Mich.; three brothers, Carl and Bernhart, Lewistown, and Louis, Lansing; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Foy, Chicago, Ill.
