ARTHUR CASSIN HARRINGTON

A. C. Harrington Interred Friday

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home Friday at 1:30 p.m. for Arthur C. Harrington, 73, lifelong resident of this locality, who passed away at his home last Wednesday.

Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church, was in charge. Burial was made in Postville cemetery.

Arthur Cassin Harrington, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Harrington, was born on March 18, 1878 in Grand Meadow township and passed away at his home in Postville on September 19, 1951, at the age of 73 years and six months.

He moved to Postville with his family in the spring of 1888 and had lived here since that time. He attended school here and on May 10, 1906, he was united in marriage with Estella Seibert.

He was a musician, having been connected with several music organizations and traveled with some of the best orchestras for years. Mr. Harrington had exceptional talent and was well known in the surrounding states. After retiring from the music field he worked as a painter and decorator until ill health forced him to retire about two years ago.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, Estella, two sisters, Mrs. Adelaide Thoma, and Mrs. Alida Lange, three brothers, Gussie of Marshalltown, Fred of Waukon, and Cy of Postville, and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
