Rudolph Kaeser At Rest

Deceased was born on the 22nd of February 1861, in Center Township, where his parents, John and Elizabeth Kaeser, owned a farm. With his brother and five sisters he grew to manhood, a promising youth. But a succession of ill fortunes soon overtook him. Various diseases sapped his strength and when about twenty-nine years of age, he was victim of a runaway. Curative attempts brought no relief and for the remainder of his life he was afflicted. He lived until October 14 and then laid down his burden.

The funeral conducted by Rev. Ernst of Zion Reformed Church took place of Thursday, October 16, at 1:30 p.m. from the home in Waukon of the sisters of the deceased, the Misses Anna, Caroline, and Emma Kaeser, who with other relatives accompanied the remains to their last resting place in Oakland. A large concourse of sympathizing friends attended the services.
