Judy Ann Erb, 46, of Waukon died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services were held Monday, October 26 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn G. Groe officiating. Burial was at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon
.
Judy Ann Erb was born November 3, 1962 in Postville, the daughter of Levi Ervin and Lydia Marie (Reierson) Molokken. She was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Ossian and confirmed at West Clermont Lutheran Church in Clermont. Judy graduated from Valley High School in 1981 and went on to attend Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, where she received a degree in health information technology in 1983.

After graduation she worked for a year at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. In November of 1984 she began a 25-year career at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, spending much of that time as Director of Medical Records. Judy loved her work as well as her co-workers and was very dedicated to doing her job to the best of her ability.

September 14, 1985 she married Jay Ronald Erb at the West Clermont Lutheran Church.
Judy was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed taking walks with her faithful dog, Scooter, and spending time with her friends, who always found her to be a good listener and very giving and caring person. Her family was the center of Judy’s life and the time spent with them was her most favorite of all, whether that be camping, traveling, following the kids' activities, or just being together.

Survivors include her husband, Jay, who has worked at Kerndt Monument Works in Waukon for 31 years; a daughter, Jennifer, who is currently a senior at Iowa State University in Ames; a son, Johnathan, who is currently a senior at Waukon High School; and two sisters, Vickie (Kurt) Chicken of Clermont and their children, Jason and Matt, and Lynn (Jeff) Madsen of Cedar Rapids and their children, Andrew, Kate, and Hannah. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Honorary casketbearers were Lori Lehmann, Glenda Koehn, Kim DeBolt, Kris Coté, and her Family of Co-Workers at Veterans Memorial Hospital. Casketbearers were Kurt Chicken, Jeff Madsen, George Johnson, Eaton Coté, Nate Gebel, and Kevin Quillin.

Martin Funeral Home, Waukon, was in charge of the arrangements.
