MR. JOHN STOCKMAN was born in Bayern, Vetsburg Jan. 20, 1848, and died in Postville, August 15, 1901.
He came to America and settled in Louisville, Kentucky in 1870. He was united in marriage to Miss Emma Demply, June 19, 1873 and came, with his wife and six children, to Postville in March, 1883, where resided until his death. He leaves a wife and ten children, 4 boys and 6 girls, and one brother.
