Funeral services for Norma Luella Kruger, 74, of Monona, were held Saturday, June 16, 2 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ, rural Waukon. Rev. Dr. Elsa Marsland officiated. Burial was in Salem Cemetery. Martin's Funeral Home, Waukon was in charge of arrangements.

Norma Kruger, daughter of August H. and Martha Becker Snitker was born November 17, 1915 in Ludlow Township, Allamakee County on her parents' farm. She died June 14, 1990 at Prairie Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, WI.

She received her education in a rural school, Ludlow #2, Waukon. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Women's Fellowship. She also was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She worked in the Decorah Defense Plant during WWII and Wapsie Produce in Decorah from 1960-1977.

On August 12, 1944 she married Niles Kruger at Salem United Church of Christ parsonage. She was an Allamakee county lifetime resident moving to Monona in 1978.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Niles, Jan. 31, 1968; a daughter, Dianne, June 9, 1967; 2 sisters, Inez Gerleman and Florence Koenig and 1 brother in infancy.

Surviving are: 2 daughters, Mrs. Virgil (Debra) Thorstenson of Monona and Mrs. Donald (Donelle) Sherman of Waukon; 2 grandchildren, Kelly and Jon; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Roy (Mildred) Sohn of Sheboygan, WI, Mrs. Loraine Kruger of Decorah, Mrs. Loren (Ruby) Koenig of Postville, Mrs. Donald (LaVerne) Koester of West Union, Ralph Snitker of Waukon, also a brother-in-law, Leonard Koenig of Postville.

Pallbearers: Kenneth Sohn, Mike Koenig, Larry Koester, Dave Gerleman, Dennis Koenig, James Koenig.
