Funeral services were held at Immaculate Conception Church in Wexford Monday morning at ten o’clock for Miss Katherine Brennan, 67, who passed away late Friday night at Xavier Hospital in Dubuque the result of a paralytic stroke suffered the Sunday previous. Father Franz Lohbern of Lamotte for whom she had kept house the past 12 years offered the Mass of Requiem and resident pastor Father Aloysius White gave the sermon. In the sanctuary was Father J. R. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The remains arrived Saturday and that evening and Sunday evening were waked at the home of her brother Gene in Lansing where many called to express sympathy and bore mute evidence of the high esteem in which she was held. Casket bearers were nephews Dan and Ralph Brennan and Leo Mullarkey, Roger Binsfeld, John Hogan and Francis Kernan.
