Mary Ann Hagen

Mary Ann Hagen, 72, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ. A memorial service was held Friday, August 28 at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Words of wisdom and inspiration were expressed by Rev. David Richardson.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 12 at 11 a.m. at Old West Paint Creek Lutheran Church, rural Waukon, with Pastor Ken Kimball officiating. Family will greet friends one hour before services at the church. Burial of ashes will take place at Old West Paint Creek cemetery.

Mary was born August 19, 1937 in LaCrosse, WI to Leonard and Thelma (Tabler) Hagen. She moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ eight years ago from Eau Claire, WI. She worked as a registered nurse for 40 years. Mary was an avid cyclist, a Green Bay Packer fan and loved traveling and photography.

She is survived by her son, Jon (Sandy) Broughton of Ankeny; her daughter, Sara (Scott) Peelman of Pinehurst, NC; sisters Helen (Vern) Hanson (twin sister) of Monona, Norma (Henry) Putnam of Unionville, MO, and Karen (Glen) Steffenson of Elizabeth, IL; and grandchildren Kayla and Joey Peelman and Elizabeth and David Broughton. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
