In Las Vegas, he was a member of Christ Lutheran and The Lakes Lutheran Churches.

Norm was preceded in death by his parents, and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Jan; their three daughters, Jill (Tim) Kohler of Hugo, Minn., Nola Schroeder of Cedar Rapids, and Joy Schroeder (Jim Lurch) of Las Vegas, Nev.; granddaughters, Janessa and Talley Kohler, both of Hugo, Minn.; and sisters, Ileta (Harry) Tyler of Peoria, Ariz., and June (Fred) Palmquist of Hot Springs Village, Ark.
