Edna S. Cook

Edna S. Tickle Cook of Waukon, formerly of Mullens, WV, went home April 14, 2009. She passed at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon.

Edna was born March 9, 1921 in Prembroke, VA, the daughter of John and Julie Austin Tickle.

Edna married John Enoch Cook November 17, 1936 in Mullens, WV. They had four children, Janeth Rae Fish of Waukon, Robert and his wife Becky of Buckhannon, WV, Terrille Ann Marshall, Kensinton, MD and Danny Britt Cook and his wife Vicki of Dell City, OK.

Edna will be remembered for her love and generosity toward her family. She was well known for her "Suthern Cookin" and her beautiful paintings. She had a great love for animals and enjoyed watching the birds and other tiny creatures.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband, John Enoch Cook; sons-in-law Harold Fish and Robert Marshall; two brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include her four children; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services are private, and memorials can be sent to the American Heart Association.
