Funeral services for Edward B. Stanley, 79, of 318 Iowa St., who died Saturday evening at his home, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Walnut Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Arthur G. Woolsey, pastor, officiating. The body will be brought to the church from Locke Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Fairview cemetery.He was born in Rossville, Iowa,, on April 11, 1876, the son of Benjamin and Mary Ann Baldwin Stanley. On Sept. 15, 1896, he married Nellie Wolfe, at Decorah. She died on Sept. 20, 1936.
On June 18, 1938, he was married to Pauline Jones, formerly of Waterloo, in Minneapolis. He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad Co., as a yard master in Minneapolis.
For the past two years he had made his home with his sister, Mrs. N.W. Entwisle, and his nephew, Paul Entwisle and wife. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pauline Stanley, and three sisters, Mrs. N.W. Entwisle, of 316 Iowa St., Mrs. G.L. Beall, of 425 E. Mullan Ave. and Mrs. Ethel Hamersmith, of Spokane, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.
