E. A. GRIMWOOD
Edmund Albert, son of Isaac and Eliza Moore Grimwood, was born at Rossville, Allamakee county, Iowa, on Dec. 8, 1863, and died at Mercy hospital April 4, 1955, at the age of 92.

He was a pharmacist for many years at Independence and at Oxford Junction. At Independence he was choir director in the Presbyterian church. After he came to Oelwein he became the teacher of the Men's Bible class. He was a Mason, also. He served four terms in the Iowa legislature, and later was appointed assistant labor commissioner of the state of Iowa.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mrs. Mantie Grimwood, with whom he has made his home for some years, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Hintz funeral home April 6, at 2 p. m., in charge of Dr. L. W. Hauler. The Masonic rites were in charge of Glenn Johnston. Burial was at Evergreen cemetery at Rossville. The following served as casketbearers: Hugo Fick, Ralph Woolsey, Howard Borland, Harold Irvine, Orville Christophal and Albert Koehler.
