Funeral services will be held at Martin Funeral Home Tuesday, March 27, at 2 p.m. for George Marti whose death occurred at his home in Lansing township Sunday, March 25.

Mr. Marti was born Jan. 18 1866, a son of Catherine Rogatz Marti and George Marti. His birth occurred in Allamakee county where he spent all his life. He was educated in rural schools and his marriage to Millie C. Grimm took place on March 28, 1894. A son, George V. Marti his father in death. His wife survives, also one grandchild The following half brothers and a half sister also survive. Phillip of Waukon. Jacob of Mason City, and Mrs. Alfred Pethern of Austin, Minn.

Mr. Marti was engaged in farming, and was a member of the Landsing Ridge Presbyterian church.

The Reverend Mr. J.H. Creps of Lansing officiated at the funeral services and burial was in Oak Hill cemetery, Lansing. The following were pallbearers. William Deeney, Peter Conway,Edgar Reiser, Kermit Wendel, Herman Kerndt and Herbert Hartong.
