Patricia "Pat" Somermeyer

Patricia "Pat" Ann Somermeyer, 79, died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, November 8, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 12 at St. Peter's Community Christian Church in New Albin. Rev. William Reese will officiate and burial will be in New Albin City Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church before the service Wednesday. Memorials may be given to Caledonia Care and Rehab Hospice Room Fund.

Pat was born September 11, 1929 in LaCrosse, WI to Leo and Elsie (Jordan) Crowley. She graduated from New Albin High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Robert Somermeyer July 4, 1952 at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Albin. He preceded her in death March 24, 1991. Pat was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and belonged to the Women's Fellowship.

Pat cherished times spent with family and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. If Pat wasn't at home she could be found at the café having coffee with many of her close friends. Her warm smile and good sense of humor will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three children, Marilyn (Don) Moore of Eitzen, MN, Bob (Annie) Somermeyer of Waunakee, WI, and Lisa (Randy) Oimoen of Madison, WI; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a brother, Earl (Delores) Crowley of Onalaska, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

McCormick Funeral Home, Caledonia, MN is assisting the family with arrangements.
