Richard Weber
Richard 'Dick' J. Weber, Sr., age 71, of Lansing died Friday, October 31, 2008 at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, November 3 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing with Fr. Daniel Knipper officiating. Burial was in Mays Prairie Cemetery, rural Lansing.
Dick was born in Allamakee County January 6, 1937 to Christian and Odelia (Weipert) Weber. He attended May's Prairie School and lived on Mays Prairie his entire life. Dick married Shelby 'Jean' Alderman June 28, 1958 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in De Soto, WI. He and Shelby Jean farmed and raised their family on Mays Prairie. He enjoyed his family, farming, hunting and antique farm memorabilia.
Dick is survived by his wife, Shelby Jean of Lansing; five children, Randy (Karen) Weber of Lansing, Sally (Pat) O'Neill of Harpers Ferry, Rick Weber of Lansing, Chris (Danette) Weber of Dubuque, and Melanie (Ross) Krambeer of Lansing; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Lois (John) Crumbaugh of Cedar Rapids, Kathleen (Gerald) Garin of Cedar Rapids, Joyce (Paul) Murray of Isle, MN, Phyllis (Fred) Hogan of Lansing, Janice (Alfred) Habighorst of Deerwood, MN, and Sharon (David) German of Ames. Dick was preceded in death by five siblings, Lawrence, Robert, James, Keith, Theresa and Lucille Jangula.
Casketbearers were his grandchildren, Jeremy Weber, Jason Weber, Brian O'Neill, Brandon O'Neill, Jennifer McCullick, Nicholas Weber, Joshua Weber, Joseph Weber, Jared Weber, Adam Hammond, Austin Krambeer and Alivia Krambeer. Honorary casketbearers were his great-grandchildren, Damon Weber, Ella O'Neill and Ashlin O'Neill.
