William Fritz

William Fritz, 56, of Hurst, TX died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at his home. Services will be held Saturday, October 11 at 1 p.m. in Mahomet, IL, with Danny Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery, with Blair Funeral Home assisting the family.

William was born in October of 1951 in Waukon to Harold and Bernice (Somermeyer) Fritz. He graduated from Waukon High School in 1969 and from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He was a Mason and a member of the HVAC Engineering Affiliation.

He married his wife, Kathleen (Kathi), August 20, 1990 in Arlington, TX. After a long career with various engineering firms in Iowa, Texas and Illinois, William returned to Texas in September of 2005 and was currently employed at Bell Helicopter-Textron in Euless, TX.

Survivors include his father, Harold Fritz; his wife, Kathleen (Kathi); his step-children (who, in his heart, were his children), Ashlee Phillips (John), Brian Phillips (Susan), Brittany Phillips, and Christopher Phillips; his grandchildren, Megan, Khalif, Jessica, Braydon, and Alyssa; his sister, Mary Strong (Thomas); and nieces and nephews, Eric Strong, Andy Strong (Amy), James George Lutz, Cara Lutz, and Tessa Lutz. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice; and his uncle, Willard Fritz.

Casketbearers are Brian Phillips, John Schoonover, Tom Strong, Eric Strong, Andy Strong and Craig Painter.
