Florence Brandos Dies In California

The death of Florence Ralston Brandos occurred Nov. 22 at Fresno, CA of heart failure.

She was born in Allamakee county Dec. 10, 1901, to George and Mary (Douglas) Ralston, the fifth child of a family of nine children. March 24, 1920, she married Lawrence Brandos. They farmed for 11 years then moved into Waukon. August 1941, they moved to California where they spent their remaining years.

She is survived by her married children: Robert, Melvin, Elmer, George and Theodore Brandos and daughters Lila Garcia and Jean Collins; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, David Ralston, and sisters, Jessie Stocker of Artesia, CA, and Genie Sass and Doris Wedo of Waukon.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Mary; her husband; two brothers, John and Earl Ralston, sisters, Marie Tomlinson and Ruth Johnson, and her parents.

Since her husband's death she had lived with her son and wife, Melvin and Ruth Brandos.
