LANSING,Iowa -- Evelyn Olson, 76, Lansing, Iowa, died Friday, Nov. 28, in the Thornton Nursing Home, Lansing.He was born on July 22, 1904, in Waterville to George and Ingor (Kaasa) Olson. On April 15, 1925, he married Hulda Kerstein in Waukon. He was a farmer all of his life in the Lansing area.
Survivors are his wife; three sons, Curtis of Cedar Rapids, James and Rodney, both of Lansing; three daughters, Joyce Olson of Lansing, Mrs. Durnelle (Anita) Sorum and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Iseli, both of Waukon; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, H.B. Olson of Waterville; and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Fiete of Waukon and Mrs. Tilda Huffey of Caledonia, Minn.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the United Methodist Church, Lansing, with the Rev. Tom Mattson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lansing.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, and at 12:30 p.m. until the services at the church Monday.
