Henry C. King was born March 15, 1876, in Union City township, Allamakee county, Iowa, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. King.

Following a six months illness he fell asleep in Jesus Saturday, April 23, 1938, at the Lutheran hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin, where he had been a patient for ten weeks.

He was married to Miss Adeline Kannenberg May 28, 1902, at Wheatland, and resided on a farm in Union City township for 36 years, with the exception of about 3 years which were spent in New Albin, Iowa. He is survived by his wife and one brother, Fred King.

Mr. King lived a quiet, unassuming life and was patient and cheerful. He was always ready to reach out the "glad hand" to any and all he met, and to know him was to love him. He will be greatly missed in the home, and by his numerous relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held last Tuesday afternoon, April 26, at 1 o'clock at the home to St. John's Evangelical church at Wheatland, Rev. Armin Suedemeyer officiating. Burial was made in Wheatland cemetery. The casket bearers were Alfred Beneke, Henry Vonderhoe, Paul Heitman, Albert Krueger, Herman Hagen and Herman Renk.

King. Also do we especially thank the choir and Rev. Suedemeyer.
Mrs. Henry King
