Vivian Hosch

Vivian Hosch, age 87, of New Albin died Wednesday morning, February 27, 2008 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 1 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Albin, with Fr. Daniel Knipper officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Albin. The Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing assisted the family.

Vivian was born in Davenport November 17, 1920 to Chester and Leona (Weber) Wylie. She married Leon Hosch January 28, 1943 at St. Alphonsus Church in Davenport. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin, the Lady Foresters and the VFW Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer, square dancer and enjoyed travel with Leon.

She is survived by her husband, Leon of New Albin; three children, Jim (Sandy) Hosch of New Albin, Nancy (Philip) Kennedy of Polk City, and Gerald Hosch of LaCrosse, WI; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Deloras Underdunk of Radcliffe, KY; and one brother, Robert Wylie of Moab, UT. Vivian was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Genevieve.
