KENNETH EDWIN LIVINGOOD
Kenneth Edwin Livingood, son of Willard and Effie (Miller) Livingood, was born February 18, 1907 in Post Township, Allamakee County, IA. He died Dec. 15, 1985 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City, IA at the age of 78 years.
He attended Ludlow School No. 7 and the Myron School. On March 2, 1927 he was married to Mildred Johnson. They had 11 children. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Kenneth had been a self-employed carpenter all of his life. For the past several years he had been living in Harpers Ferry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Darrell, a daughter, Violet, a great grandchild and three brothers, Russell, Byron and W. Sidney.
Surviving are 4 sons, Robert, Preston, MN; Milton, Rochester, MN; Paul, Ripon, WI and Garland, Waterville, MN; 5 daughters, Ivanelle Soland, Houston, MN; Donna Geerdes, Rochester, MN; June Livingood, Redwood City, CA; Mavis (Mrs. Carleton Vine), Oakfield, WI and Mary Ann (Mrs. Sam Virgilito), of St. Peter, MN, a brother, Milo of Postville, a sister, Irene Hoopes of Burnesville, MN, 25 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
His remains will be interred in the Smith Cemetery, rural Postville during a committal service which will be held May 24, 1986 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cemetery.
