HELMING, SIEKMEIER, STOELING, MAUSER, HANSMEIER, CRAMER, SNITKER

Mrs. August Helming died at her home in Ludlow township Monday morning at the age of 81 years. Mrs. Helming, whose maiden name was Wilhelmina Siekmeier, was born August 28, 1848, in Germany. Mrs. Helming is survived by ten children, Mary Stoeling, Gustave, Selma Mauser, Helen Hansmeier, Fred, Edward, Paul, Albert, Mrs. Anna Cramer, Mrs. Alvina Snitker, and two brothers, Julius Siekmeier and August
Siekmeier. The funeral was held Friday from the Paul Helming home and at 1:30 from Zalmonia Presbyterian church in Ludlow. -- Waukon R & S.

Waukon, Ia., Feb. 22-Special: Funeral services for Mrs. August Helming, Pioneer resident of Allamakee County who died Monday evening, were held Friday afternoon at 1:30o’clock at the Zalmona Presbyterian church in Ludlow. Services were conducted by Rev. G. Uhden. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Mrs. Helming, nee Wilhelmina Siekmeier, was born in Germany, Aug. 28, 1848. She accompanied her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Siekmeier, to this country in 1865, settling in Ludlow township.

She was married to August Helming April 7, 1865. Her husband preceded her in death in 1924.

Since that time she has made her home with her son, Paul, in Ludlow. She is survived by ten children: Mrs. Alvina Snitker, Paul and Albert, Ludlow; Mrs. Mary Stoeling and Gustave Helming, Schollen, Pa.; Mrs. Helen Hansmeier and Fred Helming, Bristol N.D.; Mrs. Selma Mauser and Edward Helming, Storm Lake, Ia.; And Mrs. Anna Cramer, Ellton, Ill. Two brothers also survive, August and Julius Siekmeier, Forest City, Ia.
