Lorence Emmett Reinhardt

Memorial service for Lorence Emmett Reinhardt was held Saturday, Jan. 18, 1992, 2 p.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. Charles W. Miller officiated. Schutte Funeral Service, Postville, was in charge of arrangements. Inurnment was in the Postville Cemetery. Participating in the military rites were the American Legion, VFW and AMVETS.

Lorence Emmett Reinhardt, son of Lorence F. and Emma (Johansen) Reinhardt, was born June 29, 1924 at St. Olaf, Iowa. He died Sunday, June 12, 1992 in the Valley Baptist Medical Center at Harlingen, TX, at the age of 67 years.

He was confirmed in St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig and was graduated from Postville High School in 1943. Lorence served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

He is preced in death by a granddaughter, Ruth Ann Reinhardt.

He is survived by his wife, Irene, Postville; three sons: Jeffrey Reinhardt and his wife, Sun-ae, of Del Rio, Tex, Michael Reinhardt and his wife, Shirleen, of Elgin, Paul Reinhardt, of Fayetteville, NC; a daughter: Denise and her husband, Richard Wilson, of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren: Michell and Henry Reinhardt, Christopher Feese, Jesse and Josie Reinhardt; several brothers and sisters in-law; four stepsons: Howard Dickman, of Chandler, OK, Rodney Dickman, of Caledonia, WI, Douglas Dickman, of Chula Vista, CA, and Kevin Dickman, of South Milwaukee, WI; two uncles, Harlan Reinhardt and his wife, Edna, of Postville, Harvey Reinhardt and his wife, Vila Mae, of Castalia, and an aunt, Elsa Christofferson, Cresco.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, the American Legion, VFW, AMVETS and DAV. Lorence was also a member of the El Kahir Temple, A. A. O. N. M. F. of Cedar Rapids, Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, a 32nd Degree Mason of the Brotherly Love Lodge No. 204 of Postville, and the Postville Drum and Bugle Corps.
