FINAL RITES FOR MRS. JULIA NELSON

Mrs. Julia Nelson, 95, died at her home in Cumberland on Wed., June 19, 1977.

Mrs. Nelson was born May 1, 1882 in Waukon, Ia. the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hanson. She was married on March 1, 1905 in Waukon to Albert Nelson and they farmed in the Barronett area until their retirement. She had been a member of the Timberland Lutheran Church and the First Lutheran Church of Cumberland. She had been an active member of ladies organizations in her younger years.

She is survived by two daughters, Ila G. Larson and Arlene Becker both of Cumberland; two sons, Chester of Hartland and Walter of Cumberland; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Her husband and one daughter, Myrtle Cronk preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held on July 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Cumberland, the Rev. Max E. Wilhelm officiating, with interment in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen and Alden Nelson, Jon and Tom Beck, and Douglas and Bradley Cronk. Cotone Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
