MRS. ADOLPH E. NELSON

Mrs. Adolph E. Nelson, 76, of 1232 S. Jackson Street, a Janesville resident since 1927 and active in First Lutheran Church circles died in Mercy Hospital at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday. In failing health for the past year, Mrs. Nelson fractured her hip Oct. 29.

Mrs. Nelson was a past officer of the Ladies Aid and a life member of the Women's Missionary Federation of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Born in Waukon, Ia., Dec. 7, 1871, she was married to Adolph Nelson Dec. 14, 1898 in Waukon. Surviving are her husband; one son, Roy Nelson, Janesville; four daughters, Mmes. Rudolph Carlson, Clarence Dittmer, and Clarence Forslund, all of Janesville, and Mrs. Emory Dittmer, Milton; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Albert Nelson, Barronette, Wis., Ole Nelson, Benson, Minn., and Edwin Nelson, Elkhorn; and three sisters, Mrs. D.J. Kaeser, and Mrs. Charles Herman both of Waukon and Mrs. H.A. Hanson, Cedar Falls, Ia. A daughter, Lillian, died in infancy.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in First Lutheran Church, the Rev. Myron C. Austinson to officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Overton Funeral Home Thursday evening. The body will be removed to the church Friday noon.
