Hannah Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilman Nelson, was born ar Round Prairie, January 31, 1874, where her early childhood days were spent and where she grew to womanhood. She attended the Waukon high school for a number of years and graduated from the Waukon Business College. For a number of years she was a teacher in the Allamakee county schools, for three years preceding her death taught in the Waterville public school.
Her marriage to H.A.Hanson occurred April 8, 1916. They made their home in Waukon and confidently looked forward to a long and happy married life. But shortly after their marriage her health began to fail, and when the Autumn leaves were falling, she answered to her Savior's call, her death occurring Oct. 7th, 1916.
Besides her grief-strick husband, she is survived by her parents and three brothers, Albert of Cumberland, Wis., Ole and Edwin at home, and five sisters, Mrs. Lena Nelson of Cumberland, Wis., Mrs. J.S.Kaeser and Mrs. Dan Kaeser, Minnie and Marie at home.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Norweigan Lutheran Church and interment at Oakland Cemetery. Rev. Scarvie of Glenwood, assisted by Rev. Fjelde, officiated.
