MRS. BERNARD (Edna Marie Hein) WATERS

Funeral services for Edna Marie Waters were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 1 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Postville. The Rev. Paul Otting officiated. Schutte Funeral Service, Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Edna Marie Waters, daughter of Carl and Caroline (Meyer) Hein, was born April 21, 1895 in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County. She died Monday evening, September 28, in the Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

She graduated from Postville High School in 1913. On November 26, 1918 she married Bernard Waters in St. Peter's Catholic church at Clermont. The couple had two children. They farmed in Grand Meadow Township, Clayton County, until 1948. They then moved to Postville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, George, William, Rudy and Gus and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Bertha) Rounds and Mrs. Guy (Amelia) Mead.

She is survived by her husband, Bernard of Postville, one daughter, Neva Jaster of Ossian, one son, Eugene Waters of McGregor, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great- great-granddaughter.

She was a member of St. Bridget Catholic church and also St. Bridget's Rosary Society.

Casket bearers: James Lechtenberg, Ambrose Looney, Everett Cook, Robert Zwirlein, Duane Thompson, John Drahos, William Anderson, Cleo Heying, Tom Hogan, Noel Cook, Lyle Ewing and Terry Hogan.
